All of our Classy Grass sod is grown in sandy loam soil at our farm located in Manteca, California. We are very fortunate that our farm has a very nice sandy loam soil, which enables our turf to adapt very well with all of the different soil types found in the valley. Sod grown in sandy loam soil allows irrigation water to penetrate much easier than sod grown in other soils. Most homeowners and landscapers go to much expense and labor to enrich the native soil to make it water and root permeable. It defeats the purpose to then put a cap of water impermeable soil based sod on top of that nice topsoil. You will find Classy Grass sod is very clean to handle and easy to lay, giving you the best results possible.
